After many months of debate, the health care overhall has finally passed the House. While we won’t see the effects for several years, this is certainly an important milestone. The dialog on health insurance in this country will now have to advance beyond “Yes we can” versus “Kill the bill.” It will be interesting to see how the passing of this bill will be spun in the months leading up to the midterm elections. In a more perfect world, we could now have a more mature discussion on how to go forward reforming health care, but with so many seats likely to change in November, an eight-month-long rhetorical shouting match is all but inevitable.
